Gary Gerard Hamilton is an award-winning entertainment journalist with the Associated Press, the world’s largest and most respected news provider.

Enthusiastically covering music, film, TV and everything in between, he has an emphasis on video, but you'll frequently read his byline on global print/text articles.

Gary Gerard has vast experience as a dynamic on-camera broadcast host/anchor/reporter as well as producer/editor with experience in entertainment, news and sports. He’s often tapped to moderated national entertainment panels and is a contributing panelist for the hit Lifetime show, “Married at First Sight.” He was also featured as a pop culture expert in the 10-part MTV docuseries, “The Challenge: Untold History.”

Formerly, he was the on-camera host/reporter & senior producer with the New York Yankees baseball video production/scoreboard group. He also worked as an on-camera digital reporter for the national teen news broadcast Channel One News, which was partnered with CBS News, and NBC News prior to that. In addition, Gary Gerard also served an on-air contributor for CBSNews.com as a digital reporter and producer.


Gary Gerard began his career in New York with NBC News after being accepted into the exclusive NBC Page Program before joining the NBC Agency which oversaw special projects and promos for all of NBC Universal. Additionally, he contributed extensively to the TODAY Show’s coverage of the Summer Olympics during his tenure. Gary also has experience in music, working for MTV, Columbia Records, ND Promotions and more.

Born and raised in his beloved Houston, Gary graduated magna cum lade with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Abilene Christian University.
